Code of Ethics
This Code of Ethics is designed to encourage integrity and responsibility in the practice of therapies taught through Upledger Institute New Zealand:
Practitioners have as a first priority to provide quality therapy to all clients/patients without discrimination. Clients have the right to have the therapy explained and the nature of outcomes and expectations discussed. The privacy and confidentiality of clients/patients shall be respected at all times, unless a legal duty of disclosure operates.
Practitioners practice within the limits of their professional training and competency and will participate in on going educational opportunities to build and improve upon their knowledge and skills. Practitioners in New Zealand will abide by the rules that govern healthcare practices set out by the Code of Health and Disability services Consumers’ Rights. Practitioners from other countries attending therapy courses taught through Upledger Institute New Zealand will practice according to the rules and laws that govern healthcare practices in that country.
